Confessions of a Coffeeholic

I am a coffeeholic. Ever since I was a University student, my dependency on coffee was instant and insane. I needed a caffeine boost multiple times a day not only to stay awake, but also to keep my mind sharp and motivated. I experimented with various types of coffee and methods of brewing trying to find that perfect cup that could sustain me. I was hunting for that perfect bean that was roasted just the right amount.

I started my coffee journey with instant coffee mixed with hot chocolate (aka the office machine version of mochaccino). I was not a fan so I started experimenting with drip coffee and french press. From there, I tried various types of beans and creamers. It didn’t take long before I became a coffeeholic and started investing in various apparatuses and machines to get that perfect cup. In the end, I found I love my first cup of the day to be dark, rich with no fuss.

I start each day at 630am and indulge in my first cup of coffee while I watch my house slowly get illuminated with the morning sun. I take a deep breath and capture that sweet coffee scent to feel my body wake up and start going over my agenda for the day. I literally feel my head get lighter and my thought process become more coherent because my brain is fully awake. To me coffee is like chocolate, an indulgence for my tastebuds, mind and body.

Because I take my coffee seriously and love the convenience of having everything delivered to my doorstep, I am a huge fan of the Nomad Coffee Club. For as little as $25/month I can brew up to 35 cups of coffee, which is perfect to last me to the end of month. To feed my habit of experimenting with various types of coffee beans, Nomad Coffee Club delivers different types of coffee every month depending on the season. In May they had the Ethiopian Borana and in June it was the Kenyan Kamviu, an amazing blend with a mild hint of lime.  With Nomad Coffee, every month is a surprise regarding what kind of coffee beans will be delivered to my doorstep.

I have two brothers, granny, parents, who all love coffee :) And I am the only one in the family that doesn’t drink it! I mean, once a year maybe. It’s not that I don’t like it, I don’t know why I don;t drink it! I liked the photos very much, and I will forward this post to other friends that are cofeeholics, too!
