Summer Sun Essentials

sunscreen, uv essential chanel, dermalogica sunscreen, avene sunscreenThe best beauty advice I received from my mom was to always use sunscreen! Especially when I moved to Toronto where the sun in the summer time is intense and it doesn’t take much to get a tan or worse – sun burn. Your skin can get easily damaged but it is simple to start taking steps to protect it using strong sunscreen daily.

Today I am sharing my top 3 favorite sunscreens that can help protect your skin while you are having fun under the sun.

Avene Sunscreen1. Avene High Protection Sunscreen SPF 50+
Now I am no skin expert but I did some research when it comes to UV rays. There are two types of UV rays we are exposed to whether it’s sunny or not, UVA and UVB. UVA is what we are predominantly exposed to and causes premature aging and wrinkles. UVB is the main cause of sunburn and development of skin cancer. This is why I don’t leave the house without sunscreen.   These two products from Avene are amazing in helping you protect your skin from both of these rays PLUS they provide maximum water resistance coverage (80 minutes).

This sunscreen is so amazingly light that it feels more like a moisturizer. This is why I love this product.  It’s sheer, light, water-resistant and non-greasy. I like to use this sunscreen for days when I am active under the sun and want powerful SPF coverage. It has hydrating properties that help make sure to counteract moisture loss triggered by extended sun exposure.

Did I mention that I always wear sunscreen under my foundation? My face is incredibly sensitive when it comes to sunscreen and I love how light and non-greasy the Chanel sunscreen is. It absorbs incredibly fast into your skin and protects it from free radicals and urban pollution while sheltering you from photo-aging and hyper-pigmentation. Oh, did I mention that it smells amazing!

I’ve been looking for a new sunscreen to try out for a while now! I want to give that Dermalogica a try (I use one of their cleansers and LOVE it). Under my makeup, I wear the MAC spf 50 primer and really like how it works.

Dermalogica products are amazing! You should try their microfoliant, it’s amazing. I use it everyday to help me gently exfoliate and create a smooth surface for makeup application. The Chancel UV Essential is great as sunscreen and primer in one. It’s the only sunscreen that my sensitive skin can handle protecting me from a broad spectrum of UV rays, plus it helps create a very smooth surface filling in any cracks for an easy makeup application.xo

As I like some Avene products I am sure I would love this sunscreen with high protection, from Avene! I trust the brand because of my equally sensitive skin, and I know the brand is good for that! Nice selection, I love Chanel too!

I know, Avene’s products are amazing!! Love them to bits! You will love this sunscreen for both it’s coverage and how gentle it is on your skin. Yeay for us girls having sensitive skin. The white tube is their most popular line because has mineral properties (and my favorite if I had to pick). I am so happy that you like this selection, I know it took me a while to experiment and test patches to find sunscreen that actual works on my skin without breakouts. These three are my absolute fav! xo

You will love this selection Sydney. I have never gone a day without sunscreen for over 10 years and I am convinced the reason is because of my strict beauty regiment (plus I turn lobster red and peel like crazy when I don’t). These products have helped protect my skin from sun damage and photoaging. xo
